Simon has a 15 year background in training, facilitation, campaigns and communications for civic action on a host of issues, including climate change, democracy and international development. He has worked with/for organisations including Global Justice Now, Christian Aid, The British Museum and United Nations - in South Africa, India, Sierra Leone, Palestine and the UK. Simon is passionate about building and sustaining fulfilling civic participation among people of all social backgrounds and generations. He is an Honorary Fellow of The Royal Scottish Geographical Society and one of The List's "top 100 cultural figures to watch". He lives in Edinburgh.

- Design and facilitate empowerment programmes, events and projects, working with all age groups and communities.
- Enable strategic thinking, impact planning and reporting - with staff, volunteers and beneficiaries.
- Support related campaigns and communications (strategy, branding, key messages, copy and design).
